Privacy policy
Your data, plainly.
Last updated 29 October 2026. This policy covers the Drawn & Dangerous game and this website.
The short version
- We store your Steam ID, your Steam display name and your game progress (credits, unlocked cosmetics, kills) so your unlocks and leaderboard place follow you.
- We never see your Steam password or payment details. Purchases go through Steam.
- Voice chat is relayed live to nearby teammates and is never recorded or stored.
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
What the game collects
Your Steam account
When you play online, the game asks Steam to confirm who you are. Our server receives your Steam ID from Valve and stores it with your Steam display name. We use these to save your progress and to show your name on the kill leaderboard.
Game progress
For online Steam matches we store your credit balance, unlocked and equipped cosmetics, match participation and kill and headshot counts, along with the time each was recorded. Offline and LAN play is saved only on your PC and never sent to us.
The public leaderboard
Your Steam display name, kills and headshots from online matches appear on the public kill leaderboard, in the game and on this website.
Feedback reports
If you send feedback from the launcher, we receive your message, the category you chose, an email address if you give one (it's optional), basic technical details about the game version, and recent lines from the launcher's log to help us fix bugs. Reports are stored and emailed to the developer.
Multiplayer and voice
Matches are hosted by players. When you join, your game connects to the host's PC (directly on LAN, or through a Cloudflare tunnel online, with Steam lobbies used to find and join matches), so the host's connection handles your gameplay data. Chat messages and voice are relayed through the host to other players in real time and are not recorded or stored by us. Your microphone is only used while voice chat is on, and only while you hold the talk key in push-to-talk mode.
On your PC
The game saves your settings, offline progress, a launcher log and a local copy of your online profile on your PC. You can remove these by uninstalling the game and deleting its folder in your user data directory.
What this website collects
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you or track you across other sites. Our host, Vercel, processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site. The leaderboard on this site shows the same public data as the game.
Who processes your data
- Valve (Steam) for sign-in, lobbies, purchases and invites, under Steam's privacy policy.
- Vercel hosts our game API and this website.
- MongoDB Atlas stores the game database.
- Cloudflare carries online match traffic when a player hosts through a tunnel.
Why we use it
We use your data to provide the game you asked to play (saving progress, running matches and the leaderboard), to fix bugs and improve the game from your feedback, and to keep the services secure and free from abuse.
How long we keep it
Your profile and progress are kept while you have the game, so your unlocks aren't lost. Match reward sessions expire after 24 hours. Feedback reports are kept for as long as they're useful for fixing the issue. Ask us at any time and we'll delete your data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or to remove your name from the leaderboard. Contact us through hello@drawnanddangerous.com, including your Steam profile link, and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Drawn & Dangerous isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data. Steam's own age requirements apply.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
